Aimee Gibson
Pro Padel Player, LTA No.1
Aimee was a former top 15 women’s tennis player in England who only took up padel properly at the end of 2022. In the time since, she has won 6 LTA Grade One tournaments – the highest grade of domestic competition in the UK – and has quickly risen to the LTA number 1 ranking. In June 2023 she became only the second British woman in history to become fully professional.
Aimee has also enjoyed success on the professional circuit in Europe this year, getting to the quarter-finals at a FIP Rise in Belgium and reaching the same stages again in Spain of a FIP Rise there, where she played with GB number 1 Tia Norton. In January 2024, Aimee will begin training full-time at the world-renowned Juan Alday academy in Barcelona.
Currently ranked at 253 in the world, Aimee’s ambition for 2024 is to break into the world’s top 150. She’ll also be representing Great Britain in the European and World Championships.
